F\u00f6r en destillat\u00f6r \u00e4r den vita spriten, som skottarna kallar &#8217;new make&#8217;, central. M\u00e5let f\u00f6r Agitator \u00e4r att g\u00f6ra ren och smakt\u00e4t sprit. H\u00e4r \u00e4r mina anteckningar fr\u00e5n 2018:<\/p>\n<p>&#8221;R\u00f6ksprit ur h\u00f6grefluxpannan \u00e4r renare \u00e4n l\u00e5grefluxditon, r\u00f6ktonerna kommer ut som havsvatten med musselskal, nervattnad blir doften gr\u00f6nt skvalpig med \u00e4ppelfrukt och baconvibbar. Destillatet har aromatisk syrlig fruktsmak med tobaksr\u00f6k som \u00e4ndar i r\u00f6kt skinka med en fl\u00e4kt torvr\u00f6k. Det \u00e4r v\u00e4ldigt gott eftersom frukten tar mer plats.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2019 tappade<\/strong>\u00a0man upp spriten p\u00e5 nya sauternes-fat fr\u00e5n Frankrike. Intentionen var att f\u00f6rmera estrarna och ge whiskyn en s\u00f6tare kropp, utan att tappa bort den speciella r\u00f6kstilen.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Oskar Bruno har noga \u00f6verv\u00e4gt sitt fatval. Det \u00e4r trendigt att l\u00e4gga j\u00e4tter\u00f6kig sprit p\u00e5 oloroso sherryfat, vilket funkar alldeles utm\u00e4rkt. Men den kombon skulle d\u00f6da Agitators l\u00e4ttare r\u00f6kstil.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Whiskyn har en<\/strong>\u00a0lagom obekv\u00e4m arom. En bit fr\u00e5n glaset dyker mj\u00f6lkchoklad upp, insn\u00e4rjd i torvr\u00f6k. Centralt luktar det gummiband och digestive-kex med fullkornsbr\u00f6d n\u00e4rmare mynningen. P\u00e5 djupet finns vingummis\u00f6tma och orolig krydda. Ungef\u00e4r som man kan f\u00f6rv\u00e4nta sig, ingen expressiv r\u00f6kighet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Desto roligare att smaken \u00f6verraskar. Rik och snyggt r\u00f6kf\u00e4rgad till stilen! Kakiga malt-toner ur startblocken som direkt st\u00f6ter samman med diesel. D\u00e4rp\u00e5 torvr\u00f6k och r\u00f6kt sidfl\u00e4sk med en f\u00f6rtrollande tropisk blommighet ovanp\u00e5. Sent fruktsyrup och gummisnodd samt en \u00e4ppelkn\u00e4ckig pust allra l\u00e4ngst bort.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Finishen \u00e4r l\u00e5ng och lagom mastig av sm\u00e5godis med tropisk vibe. Whiskyn trippar fram p\u00e5 verkstadsgolv. Efterhand l\u00e4ttare jordig malt-s\u00f6tma, i basen en aning ungkola. H\u00e4r vid 55% bjuds man p\u00e5 en fin balans mellan r\u00f6k och m\u00f6rk s\u00f6tma.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>En v\u00e4ldigt bra<\/strong>\u00a0r\u00f6kwhisky med karakt\u00e4r. Tuff med bett och f\u00f6rv\u00e5nansv\u00e4rt r\u00f6kig, som sagt. Det verkar som att fenolerna framtr\u00e4der tydligare n\u00e4r man g\u00e5r in vid l\u00e5ga 55% i faten. Oskar Brunos spaning att whiskykoket beh\u00f6ver ett s\u00f6tt vitvinsfat f\u00f6r att kl\u00e4s in i fylligare estrar \u00e4r ett lyckokast. Vinfatet kanske inte m\u00e4rks men Sauternes-tr\u00e4et rundar av de maltiga tonerna med lite v\u00e4lbeh\u00f6vlig godiss\u00f6tma.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Evidens har ett<\/strong>\u00a0brett anslag av aromer och \u00e4r faktiskt r\u00e4tt aggressiv, s\u00e4rskilt med en skv\u00e4tt vatten i glaset. Smaken blir savande med skitig fruktkaramell i starten. Halvv\u00e4gs torvr\u00f6k och verkstadsgolv med stramt syrlig vinek mot slutet samt fragranta toner fr\u00e5n destillatet. Smaken upplevs ljusare och mer expressivt fruktig.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Eftersmaken \u00e4r l\u00e5ng och bitigt v\u00e4rmande med en molande efterklang av sotig torvr\u00f6k. Syrlig karamell i ing\u00e5ngen flyter ut i \u00e4ppelskal som \u00f6verg\u00e5r i k\u00e4rnhus med inslag av malkulor fr\u00e5n r\u00f6kkornet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Agitator visar<\/strong>\u00a0verkligen t\u00e4nderna. En veritabel n\u00f6rdwhisky som kontrast till de mer l\u00e4ttdruckna publika utg\u00e5vorna. Den h\u00e4r ska de inbitna fansen ha.
