Denna unika whisky \u00e4r lagrad p\u00e5 kastanjefat, vilket faktiskt \u00e4r f\u00f6rbjudet enligt ”The Scotch Whisky Regulations”. Skotsk whisky f\u00e5r bara lagras p\u00e5 ekfat. Det tycker vi \u00e4r urdumt. Kastanjefaten ger n\u00e4mligen whiskyn en distinkt karakt\u00e4r och en smakupplevelse som skiljer sig fr\u00e5n traditionella ekfat. Kastanjefaten ger en djupare f\u00e4rg och mer tanniner och str\u00e4vhet. Men det ger oss ocks\u00e5 komplexa smaker.<\/p>\n\t

DOFT & SMAK<\/h5>\n

Chestnut Cask har en doft av torkad frukt med inslag av s\u00f6ta russintoner och r\u00f6da b\u00e4r. Lagringen p\u00e5 kastanjefat g\u00f6r att smaken domineras av samma toner som du hittar i doften. Dessa kompletteras av l\u00e4tta toner av honung och vanilj, d\u00e4r det sistn\u00e4mnda kommer fr\u00e5n f\u00f6rlagringen p\u00e5 Bourbonfat. Smaken \u00e4r ganska l\u00e5ng men finst\u00e4md och f\u00e5r lite torrt avslut d\u00e4r tr\u00e4ets tanniner kommer in. En l\u00e4tt r\u00f6kton finns i bakgrunden och ger komplexitet till whiskyn.<\/p>\n\t
